What is Daftar Books?+
Daftar Books is online accounting software for small businesses. You create invoices, record bills, expenses and payments, reconcile your bank, track stock and run payroll, and the profit & loss, balance sheet and cash flow update automatically.
What does the name Daftar Books mean?+
Daftar (دفتر) means ledger or office in Urdu, Persian, Arabic and Turkish — the book where a business keeps its accounts. Daftar Books keeps that ledger for you online, and every transaction is recorded with equal debits and credits, so your books always balance.
How much does Daftar Books cost?+
One plan with everything included: $10 per month or $100 per year per company, for up to 5 users. Your outside accountant can join for free. Every company starts with a 14-day free trial.
Do I need to know accounting?+
No. You enter everyday documents — invoices, bills, payments — and the double-entry journals are created for you. Your accountant still gets proper ledgers and statements.
Which countries and currencies are supported?+
Businesses in any country can use it, with any of 150+ currencies as the base currency. You can invoice foreign clients in their currency and exchange gains or losses are posted automatically. Tax names and rates are set by you (sales tax, VAT, GST).
How do I pay?+
By bank transfer or mobile wallet, in US dollars or the equivalent in your own currency at the day's exchange rate (the app shows the amount). After paying you submit the transaction ID in the app and we activate your plan, usually within a few hours on working days.
Is my data safe?+
Data is sent over HTTPS, passwords are hashed, every change is recorded in an audit trail, you can turn on two-factor login, and backups are taken every day.
Can I move my existing data?+
Yes. Import customers, vendors, products, your chart of accounts and opening invoices and bills from Excel (CSV). We can help you with the first import.
Can I cancel?+
Any time. You keep access until the end of the period you paid for, and you can export your reports to Excel or PDF.
